If you’re looking for a great place to eat in Magic Kingdom, we would highly recommend trying out dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. Of the many popular restaurants in the park, this is one of our favorites! In this post we will outline our review of our experience dining at Liberty Tree Tavern, including the food, atmosphere and overall experience.
Atmosphere
With its location in Liberty Square, the theme is evident throughout the setting, design and menu at Liberty Tree Tavern. The restaurant pays tribute to the founding fathers and is designed as a stately colonial-style inn. Here, you really get a taste of history along with your meal. For those interested in American history there are plenty of hidden details to look at throughout the restaurant. The décor includes portraits of historical American figures like George Washington and Benjamin Franklin as well as period furniture, knick-knacks and many other details from the time period. Though simple and quaint, it hits the mark pretty well for its intended theme.
Food
The food at Liberty Tree Tavern is served family style, so you can take as much or as little of each dish as you would like. The food is all-you-can-eat (or all-you-care-to-enjoy, as Disney likes to call it), so they will bring you more of each dish as needed. What we love about this is that you get unlimited food like a buffet, but without having to get up from the table when you want more. We also found the food is fresher/hotter with this type of service compared to a buffet!
The food reflects the colonial-inspired setting with its traditional American fare. The meal includes a ‘Declaration Salad’, followed by the ‘Patriot’s Platter’ and finally, Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake for dessert (a soft drink is also included). Roasted turkey breast, pot roast and oven-roasted pork take center stage of the ‘Patriot’s Platter’, along with some delicious sides. Mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, seasonal vegetables and delicious yeast rolls all complete the meal. It reminded us of a Thanksgiving dinner and we absolutely loved it! The food is definitely the highlight of this experience for us. If you are a Thanksgiving fan like us and love home style American classics, then this is the perfect restaurant for you!

Overall, we really enjoyed our experience dining here! The stately, colonial theme is evident throughout the restaurant and immerses guests into American history. The selection of American fare is perfect, and everything was delicious. We especially loved the pot roast, turkey and mashed potatoes (with gravy of course!). We also really love that it’s all-you-can-eat and served family style! It makes it easy to choose what you like, skip what you don’t like and have as much as you want. Overall, this restaurant is a wonderful choice for guests visiting Magic Kingdom and we’d recommend dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern to anyone looking for a hearty and delicious meal!
