A trip we’ll be talking about forever 🥹 In summer A trip we’ll be talking about forever 🥹

In summer 2024, we sailed 11 nights on the Disney Dream to the Norwegian Fjords, visiting ports in Norway, Iceland and England 🚢 ✨

This is one of our favorite family trips we’ve ever taken, and we’ll always look back on the special family memories that were made during this cruise!

There’s something special about seeing the world together while your little one is still so small 👶

What’s been your most memorable family vacation?

Road trips with a toddler don’t have to be miserab Road trips with a toddler don’t have to be miserable… but they can be if you’re not prepared 😅

We’ve done enough drives with our 3-year-old to know what actually works and what sounds good in theory but fails fast.

Screens? yes
Snacks within reach? also yes
Toys with tons of small pieces that will constantly be dropped? absolutely not

But a little planning goes a LONG way in making the whole trip feel easier (and honestly… even fun!). These are the exact tips we swear by to survive long drives with a toddler! We hope it’s helpful! 👍

Here’s what we’ve learned about waiting for the “r Here’s what we’ve learned about waiting for the “right time”… 💭

Later they grow older.
Later life gets busier.
Later the chance may pass.

There will always be reasons to wait, but these years with our little one are happening right now.

So we take the trip. We make the memories. We say yes, even when it’s not perfect.

Because we know we’ll always be grateful that we didn’t keep putting off making these family memories.

“Best Disney cruise ship for boys”… but what about “Best Disney cruise ship for boys”… but what about little girls? 👀✨

Our 3-year-old has now sailed twice on the Disney Destiny, and here’s the honest take from a toddler girl’s perspective…

She’s still completely obsessed 🤩

She really enjoyed the Hercules stage show (she loved it just as much as she loved the Frozen one) and she absolutely loved the music and show at Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King! 🦁

Character-wise, she skipped right past the heroes and villains, but that didn’t matter at all. There were still so many favorites to meet (like Mickey Mouse & friends, and plenty of princesses) that there were no shortage of character opportunities for her. 👑

And of course, the Disney Destiny still has everything you know and love about Disney Cruise Line - from fun deck parties to amazing kids club to family-friendly staterooms and beautiful island destinations. 🏝️

Our biggest takeaway… Everything little girls already love about Disney Cruise Line is still here. The magic, the characters, the shows, the experiences. None of that changes just because the theme leans more heroes and villains.

We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend the Destiny for families with little girls!

Let us know in the comments if you have any questions about the Disney Destiny 💭

At the risk of sounding crazy… 🤪 Cruise number 1 At the risk of sounding crazy… 🤪

Cruise number 13 for CJ is officially in the books after another special cruise on the Disney Destiny! 🚢✨
One of the best decisions we’ve made as parents is One of the best decisions we’ve made as parents is choosing experiences together over waiting for the “perfect time” ✨

The snacks will spill, the naps won’t always happen, and sometimes the day won’t go exactly as planned.

But the laughs, the little moments, the memories you make together… those are the things your kids will carry with them forever!

Most of our favorite family memories have come from saying yes to the trip, even when it felt a little chaotic.

Traveling with kids isn’t always easy, but for us it’s always worth it.

If you’ve ever wondered whether traveling with little ones is worth it… this is your sign to take the trip! ✈️

The best thing you need to bring on a Disney Cruis The best thing you need to bring on a Disney Cruise…. the grandparents 🤩

Sailing with extended family on the Disney Destiny this week gave us the perfect opportunity to escape to Palo Steakhouse, one of the adult-only restaurants onboard the ship!

The atmosphere, service and food were all amazing and it was so nice to slow down and enjoy a little date night together during the cruise. 🥂

And if you aren’t sailing with the grandparents, don’t worry - the kids clubs and nursery are also great options so you can still enjoy the adult-only spaces and activities!

Because one of the things that make a Disney Cruise a unique vacation is that it really can be the perfect mix of family time and time for you, too ✨

Trying to “do it all” at Disneyland with a toddler Trying to “do it all” at Disneyland with a toddler is usually when the stress kicks in 😅

The truth is, our best Disney days have happened when we slowed down and followed our toddler’s lead. From on-demand snack breaks to riding the same favorites over and over, this is how we make Disney feel fun (not overwhelming) as a family!

And our biggest tip is to stay at a hotel close to all the magic! There are so many hotel options (onsite AND offsite) that are walkable to the parks. Never having to fold up your stroller or wait for shuttles is a gamechanger! Plus, it’s a lot easier to head back to the hotel for a mid-day break.

We stayed at @westinanaheim and absolutely loved it! This hotel has it all, including stunning park view rooms, amazing dining options, a beautiful pool area and an easy walk to the parks. This hotel instantly jumped to the top of our list, and we can’t wait to come back and stay here again! Another huge thank you to the Westin for hosting us for this stay 🫶

If you’re planning a trip with a toddler, save this for later… and follow along @fairytalewondersfamily for more Disney & family travel tips that make it all feel easier ✨
