Mobile Food Ordering is one of our top tips for Walt Disney World! Even though this feature has been available for a while now, it seems like a lot of people still don’t know about it. Every time we’re in the parks, we still see long lines of people waiting to place their orders at quick-service restaurants. Meanwhile, we just order quickly using our phones (usually before we even get to the restaurant) and skip the lines altogether! It’s so much easier and saves us a ton of time waiting in line. Don’t be like all those people wasting time in line, and get familiar with how to use Mobile Food Ordering at Disney World – you’ll be so glad you did!

Why Disney World’s Mobile Food Ordering is Amazing
There are so many perks to using this feature! I love that you can easily browse the menu on the app and decide what to order before you even arrive at the restaurant. Once you arrive, you can skip the line and head straight to find a table. Let them know you’ve arrived via the app, and as you’re waiting you can be resting comfortably at a table instead of waiting in the line. Using the Mobile Order makes a huge difference in our visits to Walt Disney World, and we hope it helps you a lot, too! Keep reading to find out how it works:
How Does Mobile Food Ordering Work?
Using Disney World’s Mobile Food Ordering is super easy and convenient. Here’s step-by-step instructions on how to use this awesome service!
1. First, Order Your Food
First, open your My Disney Experience App and select the “+” symbol. Choose “Order Food” and select an available restaurant. From there, you can browse the menu and select the menu items that you want to order!
2. Next, Pay Using the App
Once you’ve added your meals and/or snacks, you can review your order and purchase it right from the app.
Disney currently accepts credit cards, debit cards or Disney Dining Plan credits for mobile order payments. Gift cards can’t be used and currently no Annual Pass/DVC/Disney Visa discounts are available through mobile ordering.
3. Let Them Know When You Have Arrived
Once you arrive at the restaurant, all you need to do is open the app and press the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” button. This lets the restaurant know you’re here and they will start preparing your order.
When your order is ready, you will receive a notification from the app. Look for the counter marked “Mobile Order Pick Up” to pick up your order.
4. Pick Up Your Order, and Enjoy!
Before others have even placed their order, you can already be enjoying your food. It’s that simple!
Where is Mobile Food Ordering Available?
Many quick-service dining locations throughout the parks, at Disney Springs and at Disney Resorts offer this convenient option. Be aware that this is not available at every single restaurant and that there might be times when mobile ordering is unavailable and you will need to use the traditional line to order.

COVID-19/Phased Reopening Update
During the phased reopening, Disney has expanded the use of mobile order and is requiring it at most quick service restaurants and some snack stands. Locations that require mobile ordering will have a sign outside with a QR code for guests to scan. Scanning the QR code will take you to the place in the app to place your order (you can also still access it via the method listed above). After placing your order, once you are within your arrival window and close to the restaurant you can let them know you have arrived via the app. You will wait outside the restaurant until your meal is ready. Once you are alerted that your order is ready, you just show the Cast Member in front of the restaurant your phone screen to confirm and they will direct you into the restaurant to collect your order. This system makes the restaurant much less crowded inside!
