Magical Express
Staying off-property may save you money on your hotel. However, you will probably have to pay more for a shuttle or taxi from the airport. Disney’s Magical Express Service is completely free to use, and takes away all the hassle. You simply put your luggage tags on your bags before you leave home. Once you arrive in Florida, you’ll take the Magical Express bus from the Orlando airport to your resort. Then, Disney will deliver your luggage right to your room for you! It’s so simple!
Transportation Throughout Disney World
Not only do you get free transportation from the airport, you also get to make use of the Disney transportation throughout the entire resort. Continuously running buses, boats monorails and gondolas connect their resort guests to all areas of the resort, including all the theme parks! Therefore it is super easy to get around. The Disney Skyliner Gondola system is the newest addition to Disney’s transportation system. We absolutely love it and it’s another fun and convenient way to get to the parks! 2. Early Access to FastPass+
While every guest to the Disney World parks gets to make and use FastPasses, Disney resort guests get a special benefit. Other guests can select their FastPasses beginning at 7:00 AM EST 30 days in advance. However, Disney resort guests get to do so 60 days in advance. That means that guests who are staying at Disney resorts have first claim to all the most popular rides! Some rides can and will run out of FastPasses before they even become available to off-property guests. This is a huge perk for Disney resort guests, so be sure to ready to reserve your FastPasses right when they open 60 days in advance!
3. Extra Magic Hours in the Parks
Every day, one of the theme parks opens early or stays open late exclusively for guests who are staying at Disney resorts. 4. Complimentary MagicBands*
MagicBands are all-in-one, colorful, waterproof wristbands that you can wear during your Disney World vacation. They operate as your Disney Resort hotel room key, your park ticket, your dining plan credits if you have a dining plan, a credit card (if you link one to your account), and more! MagicBands are available for purchase for anyone, but they are included complimentary with your Disney resort stay! It makes it so easy to have all the elements of your vacation connected in one comfortable and convenient wristband!
*UPDATE: It was recently announced that MagicBands will not longer be complimentary for Disney Resort hotel guests beginning in January 2021. However, Disney Resort hotel guests will still be able to purchase MagicBands at a discounted rate.
